The last COST MC will be held back-to-back with the Lund Conference on Earth System Governance from April 18-20, 2012. The COST MC invites proposals for a final meeting/workshop within the context of the Lund conference. The aim is to showcase the results of our Action to the broader community.

This Workshop is a joint event of the UACES Collaborative Research Network and our COST action. It focuses on the influence of cognitive and normative factors in the EU's capacity to meet the challenge of governing sustainability.

The symposium REDD+SCIENCE+GOVERNANCE will address key challenges and concerns regarding REDD+. It is an initiative by the recently established interdisciplinary REDD@WUR network that facilitates the exchange of research related to REDD+.

The aim of the Mediating Climate Change in the City workshop is to provide a focal point for dialogue and collaboration for early career researchers working in the broad area of urban responses to climate change and to develop capacity for advancing scholarship in this field.

The last Management Committee Meeting of this COST Action was held at Thon Hotel Bristol Stephanie on October 17, 2010.

The Fridtjof Nansen Institute and the Institute for European Studies invite applications for a workshop on "Access and Benefit Sharing Governance after the Nagoya Protocol: Architecture and Actors", which will take stock of international ABS governance with a focus on "architecture" and "actors".

The German Development Institute in Bonn and the Environmental Change Institute (ECI) of the University of Oxford will host a COST workshop on the Fragmentation of Global Environmental Governance on 29-30 August, 2011. A call for papers is now available.

The Lund Workshop will provide an opportunity to compare and contrast the rationalities, techniques, and actor-networks that orchestrate climate governance, and to consider what it may mean to speak of ‘the global climate polity’ as a knowable and manageable political space.

The 39th ECPR Joint Sessions of Workshops will be held in St Gallen on 12-17 April 2011. The ECPR currently welcomes proposals to participate in workshops.

The next Management Committee Meeting of this COST Action will be held at the COST Office on Monday, October 25, 2010, from 12:00-18:00.

This workshop, focusing on transnational governance arrangements in the climate change domain, will be organised and sponsored jointly by Working Group 1 and The Leverhulme Transnational Climate Governance international research network.

The UACES CRN invites paper proposals for its forthcoming workshop in Leeds. The focus of the workshop is to investigate the influence of cognitive and normative factors in the EU's capacity to meet the challenge of governing sustainability.

This meeting is intended as a collective brainstorming exercise on the meaning, importance, and usefulness of the concept of scale to better understand global environmental governance today.

This special issue collects papers that advance our understanding of the actors and agents that drive earth system governance and the ways in which authority is granted to them and how it is exercised.
